Lots of bumps along the way, but with careful planning and perseverance, I am determined to get as close to total wellness as I can get, in mind, body and spirit.

I discovered hcg when I was shadowing one of my mentors for the day while I was in school and everywhere she turned someone was commenting on her weight loss and how dramatic it was.  I looked at her have for signs of someone who just lost a dramatic amount of weight and I just could not see the draggy and gaunt look of someone who just lost over 30 lbs!  I asked her what she did and she told me it was hcg and that she had bought her supplies off the internet (gave me a pause for a bit, I do not trust internet purchases very much).  Anyway I peppered her with questions for the rest of the day and then I went home and started my own research.

A couple of months later, after scouring the internet and reading the blogs and boards.  I got information on where to purchase, how to mix and then how to inject.  Yes, I chose the injections for convenience even though I hated needles.  With injections, you dose once for the day and then follow the meal plan.  I am horrid with taking medications on time and could just see myself forgetting, so once a day was just swell for me.

I started my 1st round of hcg May 28, 2011 and lost about 24 lbs, then made the mistake of traveling and getting cocky with the loss and being vigilant with weighing in daily and remaining accountable, so guess what happened?  Of course, I gained, and gained and then gained back some more.  So for Round 1, I did very well until I got to P3/P4 and just could not stabilize or maintain because I simply did not follow the rules.

Round 2, I started September 1, 2011 and went for a 40-day round and lost 30 lbs on the round.  Yaay!!  but now the challenge is to keep the weight off and stabilize then maintain the weight loss.

Close to the end of Round 2, I started seeing threads on the Boards about the Leptin Reset Rx by Jack Kruse and figured that since I was going to be trying to stabilize and maintain for the same amount of time (6-8 weeks) then I could experiment with the Leptin Reset and see how well it works for future rounds.

So that is my journey thus far.
